UAE’s Emsteel reports 24% rise in steel sales in first nine months of 2025

UAE-based steel and building materials manufacturer Emsteel Group has reported a 24% on-year increase in sales volumes of finished steel products in the first nine months of 2025, reaching 2.43 million mt , according to a company statement released on Nov. 12.

Strong demand in the UAE market during the nine-month period, coupled with optimized capacity utilization, allowed for the complete conversion of semi-finished products into finished goods, enhancing customer service, the company said in the statement.

In addition, Emsteel’s cement and clinker sales volumes were up 17% year over year during the January-September period to 2.34 million mt, according to the statement.

“Our strong performance in the first nine months of 2025 reflects Emsteel’s continued agility, resilience, and ability to deliver sustainable growth in a dynamic market environment,” Emsteel group CEO Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi said.

The company is targeting a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in its steel business unit and a 30% reduction in its cement business unit by 2030, with a goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, according to the company’s sustainability report on its website.

Emsteel has a production capacity of 3.5 million mt/year of steel and 4.6 million mt/year of cement, according to the company’s website.
